So many babes put bad vibes out for business in the summer! They expect slow months and laziness and breaks!
TRUE GIRL BOSSES KNOW BETTER----
And if you don't--- LET ME TEACH YOU!
We #WERK while they sleep.
Learn while they party.
Save while they spend.
Live like they dream.
If you want something you've never had, you have to do something you've never done!
Let me share some tips, that will help you step your game up and then you can work smarter not harder--- even at the beach!
Make a commitment to work and not slow down-Don't let your employees//team get into thinking that it's slow season because I promise you that they will make that one of their first excuses for slacking or low production!
Hold a weekly meeting to stay on track and clear on goals! Even try holding a daily meeting maybe just through a group message to discuss daily//weekly//monthly goals this summer. Set clearly defined goals and list the activities that need to be SLAYED daily to achieve them. Give yourself deadlines for your goals and create a no excuses, no negativity environment. You'll be surprised by what you can achieve!
SERVE + Add Value Instead of Cutting Prices-
Most businesses are often tempted to cut prices during the summer months when sales are slow. But cutting prices also reduces your business’ profits. Instead of selling items for less than they’re worth, try to entice customers to buy by boosting the value of your products and services. For example, if you're with a health and wellness company, throw in a free meal plan or workout plan with the purchase of one of your weight loss packs!
Run with the Season + Holidays- Just because the December holidays have passed doesn’t mean businesses should not take advantage of seasonal marketing opportunities. Get together a list of summer events to highlight when to promote your products. Think of the holidays like Memorial Day and the Fourth of July--- small businesses can look for marketing opportunities centered around popular summertime activities like cookouts, beach trips, and days at the baseball park. The idea is do summer-themed content, such as blogs and social media posts, and use them to promote your products and services!
As a small business owner, you set the tone for your employees//team, who then take that attitude with them to your clients//customers. When you speak to your team, don't use terms like “slump” or “slow” and focus instead on encouraging each person to boost personal performance and sales! You could planning some fun summer activities for them! Host a team-wide bowling night or invite your team and their friends to a picnic in the park. You don’t have to spend a fortune to boost spirits!
FOLLOW UPS! [ I know, I know, I always bring this up! ] but---- Remember that prospect who said it wasn't the right time a few months ago? Well now it may be! Reach out and check in! Tell them about summer specials etc!
SERVICE IS MOST IMPORTANT REGARDLESS OF SEASONS! Service should be a year-around commitment, of course, but it is even more important during a summer “slump” when your competitors go into that "vacation" mode and take their eye off the ball! Show that you are motivated to make things happen now.
