Everywhere you look these days it seems like YouTube stars are popping up everywhere. It is not only the new age career path that teens and 20 somethings are choosing to take, but it is also a springboard for some of the celebrities you follow and love today. I myself started my YouTube journey almost six years ago, and not only has it been filled with one in a lifetime opportunities, but it has also taught me a thing or two about building relationships with some of my favorite brands. I’m so excited to bring my YouTube knowledge to the Trendsetter babes, and I hope you are too!

My YouTube journey started in 2010 when I was fresh out of high school. I was a freshman mass media major, and I remember after watching a few videos of Dylan Rudolph’s (Yes, as in her father was Britney Spears’s manager…) I was hooked. I wanted to practice what I had learned in class and the rest was history. I started out small, but I quickly learned so much about not only marketing myself but making lasting relationships as well. Now seven years later, I have worked with companies I have only dreamed of working with such as TooFaced Cosmetics, MakeUp Forever, CoverGirl, and so many more. I also have had the opportunity to launch my own subscription box and learn a whole lot through that experience as well. It has been a whirlwind and still one of the best decisions I’ve made to this day.

The biggest thing about my YouTube journey though is the connections I’ve made. Not only with companies, but with the subscribers that watch & support me. I’ve received letters from cancer patients who say my videos got them through chemotherapy and motherless daughters who say my words have helped them get through one more day. This experience has been priceless, and even though it has its low points, it definitely has more high points than not.

So whether you currently have a YouTube channel or are looking to start one, are you ready to learn more & get down to the nitty gritty?

Check out the member only Facebook Live where I’ll include 5 of my go to tips for not only starting your channel but making sure it lasts as well! Don’t forget to pop your channel link in the comments so we can give you some love!
